Reverse Engineering - Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary:

Utilizing various portable CMMs and point cloud software. We focus on reverse engineering of customer components across many industries.

This is a salaried position, $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Collect and process point cloud data of customer parts with portable CMM’s.

• Utilize various Reverse Engineering softwares to create CAD based models.

• Assist in correction of software issues for customers.

• Self motivated – Able to manage multiple projects and time properly.

• Participate in product knowledge training sessions.

• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.

• Keep informed on software and hardware products company uses for service.

• Travel up to 25% of time.

• Update Customer Management Tool (CRM) as directed.

Desired Skillsets:

• Mechanical CAD background (Solidworks, Autodesk, Creo, NX, etc) with minimum 1 working year experience.

• Machining or Tooling background.

• Mechanical aptitude. Understanding of assemblies.

• Point cloud software experience

• Portable CMM experience

• Self-motivated

Work Environment: Office Environment. Showroom floor. Customer Facilities

Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally travel onsite with equipment. Physical demands may include use of ladders, lifts and various locations where you may have to be exposed to the elements.

Travel: Up to 25% travel is required with an average of up to 8 hours driving at one time.

Required Education and Experience: Education equivalent to a 2 years of college or pecialized training; additional specialized training. One year experience.
