Mercer's Wealth business is looking for the following position based in our Central market:

Defined Contribution Retirement Analyst

What can you expect?
  • As a Defined Contribution Retirement Analyst, you will support other Wealth colleagues and client managers who are working with clients that sponsor large defined contribution plans by designing customized solutions to meet their strategic needs
  • You will assist Senior Consultants with day-to-day client contact and problem resolution
  • You will work on client projects that focus on delivering non-investment related services, including plan administration assistance, design projects, vendor searches, operational reviews, fee benchmarking, merger and acquisition consulting, etc.

We will count on you to:
  • Perform and model calculations and/or projections in order to meet project specifications
  • Perform necessary calculations or analysis on special retirement projects, record keeping fee benchmark and RFP analysis, analyzing their impact on a client's retirement plans, including assumption studies, plan design studies, plan terminations, early retirement window studies, post-retiree medical and acquisition studies
  • Keep projects on track and progressing toward completion


What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience
  • Excellent time management, spreadsheet and communication skills


What makes you stand out:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Retirement plan experience a plus
  • Familiarity with retirement plan operations: record keeping fee analysis, non-discrimination testing, compliance, plan administration and governance
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills
