A division of LendSure Mortgage Corp., Talis Lending is expanding its Non-QM retail division in 2022 and is looking to grow the team with ambitious and motivated people who want to be a part of the fastest-growing part of the mortgage industry. Lending in 43 states, we have 5 regional offices across the country.
Working out of our San Diego, CA headquarters you will manage and help develop a workflow to enable exceptional customer experience, maximize efficiencies, and manage loan risk. You will ensure the department adheres to all lending policies and procedures as well as all state and federal laws and regulations. You will successfully collaborate with the mortgage divisional leaders and senior managers to achieve department while developing and cultivating a culture of teamwork and engagement.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
* Supervise all stages of loan workflow from submission to closing.
* Prioritize and manage the pipeline on a daily basis.
* Manage all production and customer satisfaction key metrics to ensure they are on target with objectives.
* Lead and engage managers/supervisors/team members of underwriting, processing, and closing units to drive a culture of teamwork, operational excellence, and customer service.
* Manage a staffing model that can address seasonal and unexpected volume changes.
* Create accurate and timely reporting to ensure senior leadership has transparency into lending operations.
* Stay abreast of all industry changes and trends and provide recommendations accordingly.
* Update and implement guidelines, policies, and procedures to adhere to and comply with all regulations, lending laws, and secondary market.
* Evaluate and propose new tools and systems to enhance operational processes.
* Responsible to ensure all documentation and training materials for processing, underwriting, and closing guidelines, policies and procedures, and lending systems are prepared and updated in a timely manner.
* Implement training, assure staff is trained and has access to these materials.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred or equivalent experience
* 5 -7 years mortgage lending operations leadership role.
* 1+ year of Mortgage Sales experience preferred
* Experience in various disciplines of conventional, government, and portfolio mortgage lending including origination, underwriting, processing, closing, secondary market, and quality control. Non-QM experience preferred
* Confident, friendly, and compassionate communication skills
* Pipeline management skills
