Because of our unique location, room and board are provided to associates whodo not live in one of our surrounding communities at a very low-cost viapayroll deduction. Laundry facilities are provided at each dorm unit at no costto employees. Employee meals are served in Employee Dining Rooms. We can also accommodate a limited number of RV units. All RV's must befully self-contained - no camper shells/vans, etc.

JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of theManager, assist in the daily operation of the cafeteria food service tomaintain a consistently high standard of guest service, cleanliness, foodpresentation, and cost control. Provideexcellent guest service in the cafeteria food operations through thepreparation, serving, selling, clean-up, and cooking of food. Assist clerks with voids, corrections andrelated special situations. Coordinatebreak and lunch periods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist guests through positive and friendly interactions, ensuring complete guest satisfaction at all times, and completing sales on register. Handle guests' complaints and solve them according to customer service standards.
Complete sales in POS in an accurate, efficient and friendly manner, assist line attendants with the same.
Monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of dining area, cashier stations, and/or food stations to ensure quality standards.
Attend and participate in safety meetings.
Maintain sanitation of food and food service areas.
Clean counters, equipment, and general work area, including washing dishes.
Replenish and inventory food items and supplies in a cafeteria serving line, food bar, or store room.
Assist in training, supervising, scheduling, and directing the unit's staff at the direction of the General Manager. Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff's development.
Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit's equipment, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene. Notify General Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.
Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to your manager.
Performs such other related duties as directed or required.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
Food Safety certification. Demonstration of food safety and sanitation knowledge, with strong sanitation habits
National Park experience preferred
Ability to learn and use food service POS system including computerized cash register and credit card terminal
Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem-solve.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand for the entire workday and to climb steps regularly.
Withstanding temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in and grill areas.
Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in fast-paced environment.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
