The Catering team is looking for a Restaurant Catering Salesperson to join our dynamic team in NYC. We are seeking someone who is proactive and dedicated to Just Salad and our mission. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is driven by data, and has a passion for networking and relationship building. This role is pivotal in expanding our catering services across the city and requires a deep understanding of the NYC catering market. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will support customer-facing programs that promote environmental sustainability, healthy eating, and waste reduction.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
This position is located in NYC and will be expected to come into the office 4 times per week and spend time in the field/traveling.
We value partnership, incubate good ideas, inspire passion, and celebrate innovation. As the Restaurant Catering Salesperson, you are responsible for exemplifying the company culture as well as:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to generate new leads and convert them into paying customers using CRM tools.
- Manage the catering process from start to finish, including negotiating and closing contracts, menu planning, logistics, and event execution.
- Regularly analyze sales data and client feedback to identify growth opportunities and meet monthly sales targets.
- Have a deep understanding of the store operations.
- Actively attend NYC-based events and trade shows to establish relationships and stay up to date with the latest catering trends and customer preferences.
- Communicate with Operations to troubleshoot and assist as needed.
- Support customer-facing programs that promote environmental sustainability, healthy eating, and waste reduction.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or any relevant field.
- Strong experience or strong willingness to learn about the best practices for CRM automation to aid your sales
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable making cold calls and in-person sales pitches
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Driven by data and results
- Passionate about food and beverage
- Experience working in the NYC restaurant industry
- Knowledge of catering software programs
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
