Respiratory Care Practitioner at Providence Newberg Medical Center (Part-Time, 24 hours per week/Night Schedule: 7:00PM-7:30PM)

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Must have thorough knowledge of procedures and concepts utilized in respiratory care.
  • Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology with emphasis on cardiopulmonary systems.
  • Must have dexterity and mechanical ability to trouble shoot and maintain often highly technical instruments.
  • Must be able to provide rapid, effective emergency treatment in response to emergency codes.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff.
  • Must be able to provide accurate record keeping of patients’ status and response to therapy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • Within 90 days of hire National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
  • Within 90 days of hire National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics
