Job Description
What will you do?
- Serve as a research coordinator for one clinical device trial and two pharmaceutical clinical trials, with expansion into a variety of clinical trials in the coming months as they are contracted to Cortica
- Communicate with families and organizations throughout the community to spread awareness of research opportunities for local children and adolescents
- Screen, schedule, enroll and run participants both in-clinic and in-home
- Coordinate with study sponsors to ensure regulatory documents and processes are properly completed and acted upon
- Work closely with the global research coordinator, head of research, and neurodevelopmental physicians to complete externally sponsored research projects
- Gain applicable skills in the realm of clinical research through working with neurodiverse children and adolescents, study sponsors, the Cortica research team, and the expansive research network
- Perform various research assessments, including ECGs and taking vitals, while ensuring the research visits are performed properly and efficiently
- Ensure secure and accurate data collection, entry, and record-keeping
- Maintain organization of all study materials, including lab kits and investigational medication
- Be immersed within the greater culture and community of the medical and therapeutic teams at Cortica
- In this role you are occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- You have experience working with neurodiverse children and/or adolescents
- You have a bachelor’s degree; biological or behavioral science background (e.g., biology, neuroscience, psychology)
- You have clinical research experience
- You have excellent communication skills
- You are motivated to work diligently in the realms of research participant interaction, data collection, and internal/external coordination
- You are skilled at using software and systems including electronic data capture systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Full time
- In-person at Cortica Westlake Village with travel to Glendale and potentially throughout Southern CA if needed (as far south as San Diego).
- Commute to participant homes to run short visits, including taking vitals and refilling supplies.
The base pay range for this opening is $64,480 per year to $80,000 per year. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
