Responsibilities:
- Conduct protein expression and purification using bacterial cells, employing established protein purification schemes.
- Perform aseptic techniques to ensure the integrity and purity of protein samples.
- Utilize a wide range of analytical tools and techniques, such as FPLC, HPLC, Stopped-Flow, DLS, microscopy, etc., to characterize and analyze protein samples.
- Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, protocols, and data analysis documentation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists and researchers, to support ongoing projects and contribute to the development of novel protein-based products.
- Assist in the design and optimization of protein expression systems and purification strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to protein expression and purification processes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in protein biochemistry and related fields, and apply that knowledge to enhance research activities.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in protein biochemistry, including protein expression systems and protein purification schemes.
- Proficiency in utilizing aseptic techniques for handling protein samples.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with various analytical tools and techniques, such as FPLC, HPLC, Stopped-Flow, DLS, microscopy, etc.
- Strong understanding of protein expression systems, including bacterial expression systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting protein purification processes and optimizing purification strategies.
Compensation:
- Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 w/ full benefits including PTO & Holidays
