The Opportunity
Castle Connolly is the healthcare industry’s leading doctor ratings and research company and a subsidiary of Everyday Health Group. Leveraging our unique physician peer nomination process, Castle Connolly has been the trusted source for consumers to find independent and trusted information about quality healthcare for over 30 years. Castle Connolly is an online database of Top Doctors, who have been nominated by their peers and rigorously screened by well-trained Research team.
The Research Department of Castle Connolly is seeking a detail-oriented and high-performing Research Associate. Reporting directly to the Senior Research Manager, the candidate will be responsible for identifying, validating and managing physician and hospital data.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and use large data reports to manage information on doctors and hospitals
- Analyze nominations to identify Top Doctors throughout the US based on their professional qualifications, including education, board certifications, research leadership, hospital and faculty appointments, disciplinary history, and reputation
- Verify physician and hospital information through online research and direct communication with physician and office staff
- Actively participate in growing the Castle Connolly Top Doctors database to ensure the integrity and quality of the database and brand
- Maintain Castle Connolly Top Doctors data entry by following data program techniques and procedures
- Compile and identify a list of selected Castle Connolly Top Doctors to be featured in various local and national magazines and online publications
- Collaborate with marketing and sales departments to expand the Castle Connolly brand
- Complete ad-hoc requests in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preferably previous healthcare work experience interacting with providers
- Knowledge and experience in working with Microsoft Office suite products
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Comfortable in calling physicians and medical offices to obtain and verify data
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience working and analyzing large volumes of data
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Responds well under pressure with ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized
