The Air Force utilizes indoor and fully contained outdoor small arms ranges. Most of these ranges are Air Force owned and maintained, while some ranges are shared with other governmental organizations. Regardless of ownership, the safety of range users, instructors, and maintenance workers is of paramount concern. The concerns include fire prevention and physical safety from fired rounds, as well as health and environmental issues due to dust and metals generated during range operation. The purpose of this project is to develop an economic analysis for common bullet trap types. The economic analysis will describe bullet trap types to safely collect and store bullets from small arms ranges without negative health, environmental, or operational effects.
This role is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and submit for approval a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The WBS must be used to report the cost and schedule status for this project.
- Prepare and submit for approval a Project Planning Chart (PPC).
- Prepare and submit a Contractor's Progress, Status, and Management Report (CPSMR) on a monthly basis.
- Host, attend, support, and provide call-in capabilities for meetings and teleconferences as required.
- Notify the CO and COR of critical issues that may affect the contract performance and/or human health and the environment.
- Comply with OSHA safety and health regulations, and local safety office requirements.
- Provide research, analysis, write, production (text, graphics, and/or photographic designs) and/or softcopy development for this EA BOE.
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required.
- Experience working with government agencies. (preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and economic research methods.
- Strong understanding of economic principles and theories, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
- The ability to conduct economic research, gather data, and present finds in reports or presentations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex economic concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in economic forecasting, trend analysis, and the ability to make informed predictions about economic trends and market behavior.
- Ability to collaborate with other analysts, researchers, and colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- A willingness to stay updated on the latest economic trends, research methods, and tools to enhance job performance.
