Description:
Monitor all functions of the kiln, drier, and transfer cars to ensure proper operation.
. Make corrections to equipment as needed to maintain proper operation. Contact maintenance supervisor/personnel if additional help is needed.
. Tear down, clean, and rebuild the kiln cars
. Routinely check the kiln cars as they are moving through the plant
. Repair / adjust deck block on the cars as necessary
. Maintain supplies in an orderly fashion
. Greasing kiln cars - once a year (or as needed )
. Replacing kiln car end seals and insulation – once or twice a year (or as needed )
. Maintaining the numbers on the kiln cars
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
6 months general labor experience Ability to stand 10+ hours/day 6 months experience using hand and power tools is required. 6 months experience using computer programs Word and Excel
