Overview
Remote Position (OR/WA Only)
This is a remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.
All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

The Reimbursement Analyst II provides support on all aspects of reimbursement. Under general supervision, responsible for performing a variety of financial reporting and related analyses for assigned areas of responsibility. This includes preparing, analyzing, and reporting the annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. The Reimbursement Analyst II serves as a primary contact with auditors and fiscal intermediary and advise hospital operations/patient billing/finance with interpretation of Government regulations and impact of reimbursement on their department. Duties may vary depending on departmental needs.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:Three years previous experience as an accountant, financial analyst and/or auditor. Experience with fiscal intermediary and/or hospital reimbursement or finance preferred.
Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of reimbursement principles, Medicare and Medicaid law preferred.
  • Understanding of hospital billing systems and government payment systems.
  • Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office, HFS Cost Reporting Software, SMS Patient Accounting System, and Lawson preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
