Requirements for Inpatient Behavioral Health RN:
- Current RN license and good standing with the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
- Current AHA BLS and CPI certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time experience as an inpatient Behavioral Health RN within the last year.
- Strong ability to provide age appropriate patient care to include the adult and geriatric patient which addresses biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family educational needs.
- Must show competency managing a behavioral health assignment with patients in crisis that may also have potential underlying comorbidities. Competency with IVs, IV pumps and injections are required.
- Experience caring for adolescent and pediatric age groups is highly preferred.
- Previous experience with Epic charting preferred.
