Based out one of the following: New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or North Carolina- we are seeking aRegional Sales Managerto move our organization to even larger levels of cheese growth in the NorthEast region!   • Find and develop new sources of volume growth with zone with prospective chain accounts, manufacturers, and foodservice distribution customers.
  • Build positive relationships with prospective customers.
  • Become a specialist in Leprino product capability to drive sales with new customers.
  • Be the on-the-ground source of information on emerging prospects and competitive activity in assigned territory.
  • Maintain and grow cheese volume with current base of accounts within zone including existing chain account, manufactures, and foodservice distribution locations.
  • Lead key Foodservice distribution headquarter relationships with the assistance of supervisor.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with current product, service, and purchasing strategy, and successfully coordinating with cross-functional resources at Leprino to address customer requests as they arise.
  • Ensure account management includes setting a productive travel schedule to enable regular face-to-face meetings with ownership and/or procurement teams at pizzeria customers and/or Sales Managers at distributors.
  • Provide Director with regular written reports detailing field work, analyzing customer growth and margin performance within assigned zone.
  • Ownership for training and developing Distributor Sales staff to optimally sell our products and grow sales with new and existing customers.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic customer business reviews including Foodservice Distributors and large end user pizzerias.
  • Lead by example within own team and across other functions.
  • As the face of Leprino with assigned key foodservice distribution headquarter responsibility, fosters the relationship and leads sales strategy development for all Pizza Sector zones to execute with the assistance of the Director or Associate Director.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Management, or related field
  • Five (5) of experience in a strategic business development role specifically working with national foodservice distributors, such as PFG, Sysco, Restaurant Depot, US Foods, Gordon Food Service, etc., as well as regional medium-sized foodservice distributors such as Greco & Sons, Ferraro Foods, Sherwood Food, etc.
  • Proven experience in sales and account management across a multi-state regional geography.
  • The ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Candidates please note: At this time, we are not considering retail/grocery distribution, club channel, or direct/individual restaurant sales.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • A Master's Degree in the above-mentioned fields or an MBA.
  • Eight years working with foodservice distributors.
  • On top of the mandatory foodservice distribution experience, individuals with experience calling on medium-sized/regional foodservice restaurant groups (Golden Corral, etc.) will be highly preferred!
