Job Description
Work location: Chicago - Hybrid work schedule - 2 days a week
Will report to local Chicago office daily during training period (approx 4-6 weeks)
May work remote from home 3 days a week
RECONCILIATION CLERK
Must be local to Chicago area and be available to come into the office on a daily basis
1. Project Overview: Candidate will be responsible for daily functions that will allow the US Settlements team to meet daily client Service Level Agreements.
2. Contractor’s Role: Candidate is expected to learn, understand and properly execute all related processes and controls to ensure activity is completed timely and with high accuracy.
3. Experience Level: Level 2 or Level 3
4. Qualifications:
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills; critical thinking
• Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS office applications
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment
5. Nice to Haves:
• Financial/banking background
• Industry knowledge of financial instruments preferred
• Reconciliation experience
6. Tasks & responsibilities:
• Responsible for reconciling, and processing work received on a daily basis.
• Reconciles out-of-balance situations according to procedures and within scheduled timeframes.
• Researches and resolves inquiries and exceptions, communicates resolution to appropriate parties, and makes correcting adjustments. Processing instructions will be reviewed and interpreted to input data into the system.
• Candidate is expected to learn, understand and properly execute all related processes and controls to ensure activity is completed timely and with high accuracy.
• Ensure timely review and accurate processing of trade directives received from various sources
• Provide support to internal partners through resolution of trade inquiries to meet client needs
• Communicate with external parties to review and resolve trade discrepancies to ensure timely settlement
