Receiving Clerk
Full-time, 1st shift | 6am to 4:30pm
Pay $17-$19/hr. DOE
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Packaging:
1. Packing, wrapping, and labeling containers
2. Prepares boxes with packaging materials, and arranges products in the boxes, packing according to shipping regulations.
3. Closes and seals box, enclose packing lists
Receiving/ Shipping:
1. Receive incoming shipments and compare items to purchase orders utilizing ERP system and documentation
2. Count items to ensure that the correct number has been received
3. Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas
4. Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies
5. Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.
6. Select the method of consignment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
7. Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pickup
8. Compare the amount and identification numbers of goods against orders
9. Maintain files of shipping records
10. Trace the missing or lost shipments
11. Assemble cardboard containers or pick pre-assembled containers
12. Route products to departments
13. Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers
14. Organize records of goods shipped
