A growing Construction Supply company needs a Rebar Estimator to maintain their growth as a company. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in the design and estimating of rebar assemblies for the concrete structure industry. Essential Responsibilities:

·         Review construction project plans, requirements, drawings, specifications.  Confirm compliance with local, state, and national building codes.

·         Develops estimates, creates bid proposals within established cost and profit requirements and follow-up.

·         Work closely with the Structural Engineers and Project Managers for the most accurate and timely estimates.

·         Develop CAD drawings of the rebar assembly for approval.

·         Write bid proposals for projects and assign all bids.

·         Maintain a bill of materials for each job including equipment, material, supplies and labor.

·         Maintain current material, labor, and overhead costs with finance.

·         Attend meetings with Customers and Project Manager.

·         Provide upper management with reports on bid won/lost.

·         Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won and margin of error.

Requirements

·         Five (5) plus years in estimating commercial construction projects. We are willing to train you in fire protection specifics.

·         Ability to accurately read and understand construction drawings to estimate the rebar requirements.

·         Create and follow bid schedule.

·         Ability to communicate effectively with operation personnel, sales personnel, and customers.

·         Ability to analyze margins to ensure our prices are competitive and priced appropriately.

·         CAD or like system experience

·         Positive, hardworking, can-do attitude with a team-oriented personality.

·         Experience in complete quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects

·         Computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Word and Estimating Software.
