Description

SUMMARY:
Creates, assembles and reviews for completeness the documentation necessary to be included in file for mortgage loan.  Processes file from opening through closing.

PRIMARY:

• Orders appraisals, credit reports, and preliminary title information as needed for the processing of the file. 
• Helps maintain compliance of TRID (pre & post) disclosures.
• Opens new mortgage loans on the computer systems, enters loan information, and monitors status of necessary documentation as submitted. 
• Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with initial TRID guidelines
• Confers with borrowers concerning questions, procedures, necessary information, forms completion, and problem resolution. 
• May assist in processing draws and recordings on construction loans.
• Manage and complete Fannie Mae monthly balancing, year-end reports, QC audits
• Commit and deliver according to Fannie Mae guidelines
• Remit daily funds to Fannie Mae
• Complete monthly reports for Federal Home Loan Bank
• prepare monthly reports for Private Mortgage Insurance
• pay and cancel premiums for private mortgage insurance
• Coordinate with title companies, customers and loan officer for loan closings
• Process and prepare HELOC loan documents
• Audit Real Estate files for HMDA

SUPPORT/BACKUP:

• back up to pay insurance for escrowed accounts
• pay Real Estate taxes for escrowed accounts
• back up to escrow analysis process
• Print daily notices
• Back up to type consumer/commercial loans
• Back up to loan new loans on core system
• Back up to balance loan General Ledger accounts.
• Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Detailed knowledge of mortgage loan processing and procedures (residential and commercial), especially as related to supporting documentation necessary for government agencies and other investors. Must possess tact and the ability to effectively relate to customers, officers, and other employees involved in the lending process and work effectively in a team.  Proven ability to work "effectively" with others.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to verbally communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger and handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens over long periods of time.
WORK DAYS/HOURS:
Monday-Friday 
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
