JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

Hoya Ramsey Optical Lab has immediate openings for Maintenance Technicians. The Maintenance Tech. primary job duties will be troubleshooting complex machine issues, repairing equipment and performing various preventative maintenance tasks in line with established S.O.P's and procedures.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Monitors and completes all required maintenance tasks within a specified timeframe.
• Performs calibration and verify test standards are within required tolerances.
• Manages the repair and calibration of key tools and measurement devices inclusive of general calibration.
• Keeps inventory by entering in part information into the CMMS.
• Administers and updates all calibration methods and procedures as required.
• Maintains control and traceability related to tooling inside shop and outside vendors.
• Communicates to production to leads or supervisor machine updates and machine status and timeframe for repairs.
• Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Trains on calibration process as needed.
• Contacts vendors for support with machine repairs and diagnostics.
• Performs installation of all types of optical equipment and works with engineers asneeded.
• Interprets engineering schematics and procedures used during machine diagnostics.
• Supports the operational environment by maintaining an OSHA safety standards.
• Assists with building maintenance as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have background in optical machinery, automotive or maintenance.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 12 hours per day per shift schedule).

Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist.

Must be able to read and understand technical data provided for the role.

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience working with basic computer programs.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay task focused.

Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment.

Good communication skills and a team player.

PREFFERED:

Forkliftand scissor lift operations licensed and able to perform safely. Technical certification preferred.

Daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on the Bazell system, auto tapers, auto-blockers,generators, polishers, de-blockers, de-tapers, conveyor belts, general buildingmaintenance repairs.

Mustbe able to make repairs of optical machines in a timely manner and document

process within the CMMS.
