Employee Daycare Rates
- Infants (6 weeks to 15 months) - $133 weekly, $27 daily
- Toddlers (15 months to 2 yrs) - $126 weekly, $26 daily
- 2 years to 3 years - $119 weekly, $25 daily
- 4 years to 5 years - $112 weekly, $23 daily
Job Description
Radiology Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including X-ray, CT, and Surgery and are responsible for patient safety protocols. The Rad tech performs examinations under the direct clinical supervision of the Radiologist per the physician's orders to supply reliable and accurate information to be used in the diagnosing and treating of medical conditions within the profession's standards of practice. This is a day shift position with rotating weekends, call, and holidays.
Technical Operations Responsibilities and Standards:
- Identify each patient and review each patient's requisition, either hard copy or in computer systems, for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information.
- Records pertinent data on radiologic requisition at all times. (Physician's name, technologist's name, date, explanation for limited examination, etc.)
- Assesses patient condition, ensures patient safety through proper use of restraint/support devices.
- Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents the completed examination to an appropriate technical staff member, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
- Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all images.
- Organize patient care and set priorities by providing critical care first and by implementing the physician's orders.
- Report all safety hazards that could harm patients, visitors, or other hospital employees to appropriate administrative/management staff.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited/approved school of radiology
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Valid Illinois Radiology license
- Valid CPR/AED certification
- CT certifications are welcomed but not required
