ROLE
• Defines the testing strategy and approach to validating new or enhanced functionality implemented by teams.
• Identifies risks impacting the timely delivery of a given product and collaborates with team members to prepare mitigation strategies.
• Collaborates with team members to investigate the root cause of failed manual or automated test scripts.
• Shares feedback with the team members pertaining to the quality of sprint deliverables during retrospectives.
• Collaborates with team members (e.g., DevOps Engineers, Systems Architects) to incorporate new automated test scripts into the continuous integration pipeline.
• Creates, maintains, and executes automation framework, scripts, and test cases.
• Provides accurate estimates for assigned stories/tasks including documentation.
• Executes test cases while ensuring accurate results, identifying failure patterns, and supporting defect triage processes to bring issues to closure.
• Mentor and/or coach team members.
• Keeps current on technology related to areas.
• Adheres to Costco quality standards with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
REQUIRED
• 5 years' recent hands-on experience with designing, coding, and executing automated test solutions using Selenium, Java, and TestNg. Comparable experience with C#, Ranorex, or equivalent may be considered.
• 2 years using API automation experience using postman or equivalent tools.
• 1 years' experience in writing complex SQL along with major RDBMS knowledge such as DB2, MS SQL, or Oracle.
• Hands-on experience in software quality assurance testing, with a sound understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
• Solid proficiency in web technologies, including: HTML, CSS, client scripting, DOM interrogation, and manipulation.
• Must have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Excellent lead/coaching skills to mentor members of the QA/QE team.
• Excellent skills in analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and code maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and to effectively multitask.
• Willingness and ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion with minimal guidance.
• Innovative, creative, and responsive team player with a solid work ethic and a strong sense of urgency.
• Provides 24X7 on call support, as needed (approximately 1 week every 2 months).
Recommended
• 4-year degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Azure (ADO) or other cloud platforms like AWS or IBM Cloud.
• Experience with remote device testing such as Saucelabs/related technology.
• Experience testing enterprise e-Commerce systems.
• Experience with agile methodologies.

Pay Ranges:
Level 3 - $102,000 - $155,000
Level 4 - $145,000 - $175,000
