AKKA technologies is seeking a full-time Quality Control Liasion.
The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in the evaluation of cars and suv components to determine strength, endurance, performance and serviceability.
- Assemble and disassemble interiors on cars / SUV's and/or mock-ups to achieve the desired test data.
- Install data acquisition and recording equipment for test involved.
- Perform tests on the interior components and cars / SUV's as required.
- Fabricate test fixtures as needed to accomplish the work requested.
- Prepare test data in written form for final approval.
Required background experience and skills:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required.
- 2-4 years of Quality Control / Liasion experience required within the Automotive sector.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Must Have’s:
- Experience in automotive, knowledge of chassis components.
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Nice to Have’s:
- Welding experience.
- Drivers License required.
- Forklift experience/certification.
- Knowledge of Maybach interior seats and dash would be a +++.
- Knowledge of chassis & electrical components on MBUSI product portfolio.
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday (Days).
- Typically 6am - 6pm with high potential for OT and weekend work.
- Candidate must be willing to work weekends when needed.
- No travel required.
- Contract will start as 3 to 6 months with high potential of extension.
- Pay between $25 - $35/hr with benefits after 60 days / vacation & holiday's after 90 days / Uniform allowance and steel toe allowance from Day 1
