We currently have open opportunities for 3rd Shift Quality Control Inspectors in our Fremont, IN facility. Starting pay for this position is $18.99.
Dexter is the premier supplier and manufacturer of axles, doors, venting products, and related components. We proudly manufacture axles for the utility trailer, boat trailer, recreational vehicle, heavy duty, and manufactured housing markets. Our QC Technicians directly maintain our quality programs and ensure continuous production of products consistent with our quality standards. In this position, you will be responsible for running company programs that highlight safety improvements, new procedures, and new/different use of tools and equipment that improve quality and efficiency. We are looking for QC Inspectors who care about quality, are safety conscious, dependable, detail-oriented, and work well with others in a team environment.
Quality Control Technicians are responsible for the following:
• Support the activities of the production part approval process (PPAP)
• Perform activities to support statistical process control (SPC)
• Maintain Quality Assurance document control consistent with ISO 9001
• Assist in problem solving analysis utilizing 8D’s, fishbone diagram, and other problem-solving methods. Facilitate corrective action and system prevention
• Provide support to the activities of Quality Inspectors, including tracking and data entry
• Assist with the development of processes and procedures that ensure that all production and inspection activities are consistent with customer requirements
• Support all functions of the Quality Team and Manager, as directed

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle general lab tools (must have experience using micrometers, calipers, height gage, and other precision measurement devices)
