Quality Control Inspector- 1St & 2Nd Shift

Nesco Resource is looking for a Quality Control Floor Insepctor on 1st & 2nd shifts in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate. Hourly pay is $30.00- $40.00/hour depending on experience.

1st Shift: Monday- Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday- Friday from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM

Job Overview:
The QC Lead is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities for workers engaged in inspecting incoming materials, components and finished products to ensure that products are meeting the requirements, quality standards and customer specifications. Types of parts typically being inspected include: gun parts, warheads, tank parts, aerospace parts and computer boxes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform finished product inspections by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting and documenting unacceptable products.
• Maintain quality standards by performing in-process and finished products.
• Visually inspect products to ensure they are meeting requirements and specifications.
• Perform incoming inspection of components in accordance with company standards.
• Perform product testing/inspection.
• Complete final inspection of products prior to shipment.
• Fulfill customer component order inspection.
• Document all inspection results and any re-work that must be completed.
• Keeps measurement equipment in operating condition. Notify engineering of any out of calibration/broken conditions.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 10+ years of QC experience
• Must be able to use gauges, calipers, micrometers, rulers
• Basic math and computer skills
• Must be able to read blue prints
• Knowledge of GD&T
