Quality Control Analyst (Contract)

We are looking for a talented Quality Control Analyst (contract)with an HPLC background to support growing cGMP-readiness operations laboratory operations. This individual is a motivated self-starter who thrives by generating high-quality data in the laboratory. This is a contract position for an expected 6 months with the potential to extend or convert to full-time.

Responsibilities:

• The Quality Control Analyst works effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates agility, flexibility, and engagement in a rapidly changing environment, and possesses the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
• High productivity and ability to multitask with a low error rate.
• In accordance to established written procedures, performs in-process, release, and stability testing of samples, records and analyzes data using good documentation practices.
• Works with supervisor and SME to escalate and mitigate aberrant results which may include equipment troubleshooting.
• Performs general housekeeping activities including sample accessioning, sample preparation, 5S, ordering, receiving, and basic equipment maintenance/calibration.
• Authors and maintain SOPs and other necessary documentation for GMP compliance.
• Follows laboratory safety procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering with at least one year of industry experience in a GMP environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow cGMP guidelines while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, high productivity, and ability to multitask with a low error rate.
• Commitment to quality culture, including detailed record keeping and speaking up for continuous improvement.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality experimental data.
• Strong communication and organizational and interpersonal skills, and desire to work within a highly collaborative team.

Preferred experience:

• Hands-on HPLC method experience preferred. Experience with a variety of HPLC methods such as: IP-RPC, SEC, and CAD. Experience troubleshooting. Familiarity with Agilent systems and OpenLab CDS a plus.
• Previous experience with quality control testing in GMP environments.
• Experience qualifying and validating equipment for GMP use is a plus.
• Technical writing experience, including but not limited to deviation management and laboratory investigations, is a big plus.

The expected range for this role is $34 to $40 per hour, based on candidate experience, education, location, and other job-related factors. Contract employees may be eligible for certain benefits through a 3rd party staffing/payroll company.
