Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
Maintain safe operations by understanding and enforcing policies and procedures. Support plant safety initiatives, EHS policies and practices of a culture committed to safe operation.
Performs quality testing per specifications
Oversees pest control program
Complete dock audits of both incoming and outgoing products
Performs audits on staff quality test effectiveness and accuracy
Participate in lab equipment calibration and measurement system analysis process
Maintains color file library
Maintains testing supplies for department
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety instructions
Participate in ongoing Lean Focus and Continuous Improvement processes
Responsible for training employees on all quality related tasks.
Works with Quality Manager to evaluate customer complaints
Works with Quality Manager to drive quality goals and culture forward at the site
Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2-5 years experience in a QUALITY ASSURANCE manufacturing environment
Computer literate
Microsoft Office experience preferred
SPECIFIC SKILLS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Able to understand and effectively communicate complex issues to cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
Able to work accurately using rulers/tape measures, micrometers, and analytical testing equipment
Math skills required
Able to stand up to 8 hours per day
Must be able to have a flexible schedule
