Purchasing/Receiving Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing/Receiving Manager. As the Purchasing/Receiving Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and supply chain processes, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of materials and products. This is a key position within our organization that requires strong organizational skills, inventory control expertise, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire Purchasing/Receiving process, including inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and ensuring accuracy of received items
- Collaborate with procurement team to contract with suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing terms
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials and resolving any issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective inventory control measures
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless flow of materials throughout the organization
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in the receiving process
- Train and supervise receiving staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required, Bachelor's Degree Highly-Preferred
- Proven experience in procurement management, supply chain management, or related roles
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to procure materials at competitive prices
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in inventory control techniques and software systems
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier management
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
