Description

Responsible for establishing partnerships and solutions that create value that can be clearly linked to their assigned categories of spend. Perform various inventory management activities.

1. Resolve supplier, stakeholder, or operational issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation.
2. Evaluate and measure supplier performance to ensure performance meets expectations, including lead time, warehouse receipt requirements, and contract commitment.
3. Build supplier capabilities and maintain positive relationship with suppliers.
4. Offer and support tangible development to the growth and success of current and/or potential suppliers.
5. Effectively communicate oral and written resolution of issues with all internal and external partners.
6. Develop reporting based on the needs of the business (standard and ad-hoc).
7. Develop and maintain an overall category management plan, sourcing calendar, bid processes, vendor/price negotiations and contracting.
8. Determine and implement supplier performance and cost reduction programs.
9. Develop and/or maintain savings and benefits calculations, tracking and reporting.
10. Lead cross-functional sourcing teams by category.


Qualification

1. Bachelor’s Degree preferably with a focus in Business, Supply Chain or Finance.
2. 2-4 years of functional procurement experience in addition to demonstration of the following skills: customer service, negotiations, supplier relationship management, team building, logistics, distribution, transportation, inventory management, project management, and contract development and management.
3. CPM or CPSM or similar professional certification, preferred.
4. Experience with Ariba or similar e-procurement suites is a plus.
5. Proficient in MS office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
6. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Interprets complex information and thoughtfully expresses viewpoint, analysis or conclusions.
8. High attention to detail coupled with analytical, auditing and project management skills.
9. Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain effective relationships of trust and credibility with internal customers that lead to stronger buy-in and commitment within client groups; consistently meets or exceeds commitments with quick turnarounds.
10. Ability to effectively work through multiple, competing priorities.
11. Organized and able to prioritize and monitor progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives.
12. Financial Acumen: accounting, forecasting, budget management and analytical skills with demonstrated success leveraging Microsoft Excel.
13. Conducts all work in an ethical, professional and confidential manner.
14. Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
