We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented individual to join our award-winning architecture and engineering firm. The Public Relations Specialistwill propose, research, coordinate, compose/author, and serve as senior editor for company news stories and articles. The position is responsible for initiating and directing publicity programs, social media campaigns, and improving public image. This individual will develop communications strategies for media relations, as well as maintain a strong network of industry connections to increase organizational awareness. This position requires exceptional writing and communications skills (including copy editing), verbal communication, and an innovative, forward-thinking mindset.
Your Impact:
- Plan and implement regional publicity strategies, social media campaigns, and public relations plans
- Research and compose articles for publication
- Develop public relations strategies for current and existing services, launches, and promotions
- Evolve and improve firm social media on various social media platforms
- Maintain good media relationships
- Analyze media coverage; develop responses as needed
- Develop articles and reports for web sites, blogs, and social media accounts
- Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual media activity reports
- Maintain annual calendar of events, targets, and activities
Here's What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field
- 4 - 5 years of corporate experience in PR or related field preferred
- Experience with technologies and best practices for campaigns across multiple platforms
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Creative Suite preferred (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Outstanding writing skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills
