Stress Care of New Jersey is a JCAHO certified outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment center licensed with the NJ Dept. of Human Services providing individual and group therapy to clients from Monmouth and Ocean counties. We're looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our diverse, multidisciplinary practice to provide intake assessments and care plans, conduct individual and group counseling sessions, and serve as an added resource of supportive services for a mixed caseload of adults and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or personal/family conflict.
- Diagnose mental, emotional and behavioral disorders and prescribe medication or administer psychotherapeutic treatment
- Analyzes and evaluates client data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder
- Prescribes, directs, and administers psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Gathers and maintains client information and records, including social and medical history obtained from client, relatives, and other professionals
- Advises and informs guardians, relatives and significant others of client’s condition and treatment
- Prepares case reports and summaries for client, agency, and other agencies when applicable
Requirements
- PMHNP, CRNP, APRN, MSN-FNP, GNP, PCNS or similar degree
- NJ licensed as an APN or CNS
- Active DEA, CDS licenses
- Suboxone waiver (or needed within 90 days of hire)
- Prior behavioral health experience
