Your Opportunity

The Proprietary Content Editorial Intern will provide editorial and administrative support to the Proprietary Content team in its mission of generating and maintaining quality educational content for the academic, public, and school library markets.

 

This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories).

 

What You’ll Do

Screen and format articles submitted by freelance writers for the editorial team, including initial editorial tasks

  • Assist with a variety of tasks related to product development and maintenance, from repetitive administrative tasks to subject area research
  • Conduct photo research for select projects
  • Prepare articles for publication to product

 

Your Team:

You will be welcomed as a member of the Proprietary Content Development and Management team (about 14 people) and the larger Content Management organization. Our team enjoys the flexibility and greater work-life balance that working remotely offers. There will be ample resources, tools, training, and support to ensure your success as a Proprietary Content Editorial Intern and your development and career growth at EIS.


About You:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience in a writing/editing environment 
  • Excellent language skills (especially grammar, editing, and writing) and research skills

 

What sets you apart:

  • Undergraduate field of study: English, Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts
  • Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed.) and MLA Handbook (9th ed.)
  • Familiarity with productivity platforms like Microsoft Teams and Monday.com
