Proposal Manager (Remotely Based Anywhere In The United States)

We are currently seeking a Proposal Manager to work remotely from home or in one of our offices in the United States (Research Triangle Park, NC; Ann Arbor, MI; Waltham, MA). 

 

Working in collaboration with researchers and operations groups, you will coordinate receipt and routing of incoming client requests for proposals (RFPs), managing proposal initiation activities and scheduling. 

 

Additionally, you will assist with drafting initial sections of proposals including templated tasks/proposal text and staff biosketch narratives, as well as searching for and summarizing relevant project and publication experience.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

 

• Participate in proposal team meetings and coordinate actions.
• Ensure proposal teams are aware of and are in compliance with RFP requirements.
• Coordinate proposal review (technical, editorial, quality assurance and budget) and approval using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Respond to ad hoc search requests using ERP.
• Deliver proposals to clients via e-mail or through an online platform and respond to client inquiries.
• Scheduling and participation in ad hoc proposal team meetings.
• Lead or participate in proposal improvement initiatives.
• Train new staff on proposal development process.
• Research disease background information for inclusion in proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree with 1+ years' experience managing matrixed teams and process in a commercial environment (preferably healthcare). 
• Demonstrated proficiency of the MS Office suite as well as web and teleconference tools.
• Proficient writing skills
• Ability to coordinate teams of various size.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask numerous activities.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other staff, and vendors.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.

RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element to our offer.
