The Project Manager provides key support for our esports services and owned and operated projects within ESL. The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of a project’s life cycle (budget creation and management, pre-production and planning, live events, broadcasts, client management, etc.).

The Project Manager must manage the preparation of documents such as meeting notes, organizational charts, budgets, task and milestone tracking, plus additional tools shared internally. Together with our team, you will strive to create legendary esports moments for our clients, audience, and players.

• This is a hybrid position with the ideal candidate residing in Los Angeles, CA and able to commute to our Burbank office from time to time.

What you’ll do:

• Be the brain of the project – ensure that the right stakeholders have the right information and resources at the right time in order to work towards a common goal
• In cooperation with our sales team, create scopes of work and project budgets with client input
• Be the main point of contact for client(s) in regard to the execution of a project
• Develop project strategy with strong understanding of the product and community to enhance quality of product, service, and broadcasts
• Plan and execute live events in various off-site event locations and in our studios
• Liaise with all project stakeholders and departments (producers, social media, League Operations, event management, etc) to host unforgettable events
• Manage project budgets and expenses in real-time
• Work with international teams on global project deliveries
• Respond to others in a timely and courteous manner
• Oversee and guide marketing and social media strategies for projects
• Create timelines, deliverables, and goals for your project and hold others accountable for their deliverables

Requirements

What you need:

Qualifications

• Use strong project management, organizational and time management skills together with critical thinking to complete work with accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate effective leadership skills as well as accurate and clear communication to supervise, facilitate, motivate and inspire a highly diverse group of employees
• Must be proficient in operating Microsoft Office suite, as well as Google products (Drive, Docs, etc)
• An understanding of esports and gaming titles, league structures and game formats. Ability to familiarize yourself with different gaming communities
• Understanding of and/or background in events management and broadcast production is a plus (an emphasis in esports live streaming is an additional plus)

• Perform work with patience, discretion, good judgment, courtesy and tact while working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, including colleagues, clients, vendors, partners, contractors and other possible stakeholders
