Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is to oversee and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This includes managing project budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies while ensuring that project goals and objectives are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. The Project Manager will use multiple SDLC methodologies in the completion of their tasks. This role will use PMI Framework and will manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. This position is required to deliver projects within budget and to the required quality standards, in addition to using excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously is also essential. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Program Manager to ensure that all projects are aligned with the overarching goals and objectives of the program.
Act as a proficient multi-project manager, expertly manage multiple projects concurrently, each with its own team, budget, and timeline. With strong organizational and multitasking abilities, prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively, while expertly leading the planning, execution, and delivery of various projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards Use of agile methodologies for agile qualified projects to ensure the rapid and efficient delivery of complex projects. Effectively manage organizational changes within each project, develop and implement comprehensive Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans that assess the impact on people, processes, and technology within the organization Utilize Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines to develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Microsoft project plans that detail timelines, milestones, capacity plans, and deliverables, as well as other critical documents such as status reports, stakeholder and RACI matrix, and a risk registry (RAID long). Ensure clear and effective communication of these documents to all stakeholder.
Manage project budgets, analyze financial data, identify trends and patterns, and develop financial forecasts to ensure that the project remains on track financially. Additionally, implement effective cost-control measures to ensure that the project is completed within the approved budget, and that any changes to the budget are properly documented and approved by PMO leadership.
Provide guidance and support to project team members to enhance their understanding of project delivery processes and enable them to actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives using (Project Management Institute) PMI and Agile methodologies Develop, monitor and communicate key performance metrics, such as cost, schedule, scope, quality, velocity, capacity and risk, in order to measure project progress, identify trends and proactively address areas of concern to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Experience:
At least three years experience in program or project management, to include at least one year of experience in Agile. Methodology in the technology or software development environment.
At least one year experience with financial and budgeting project management work.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, computer science) or related experience.
Preferred:
Agile Certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or SAFe Agilist).
Certification in MS Project.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
