Project Manager

This Temporary promotion not to exceed or Detail not to exceed position is located on the Ottawa National Forest, duty location of Watersmeet MI.

Serve as a senior Project Manager for the overall management, coordination, and execution of a specified nursery facility design and construction project.

Specialized Experience Requirement:

For the GS-13: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as meeting two or more of the following: (1) Worked in a senior specialist capacity that requires knowledge and skill in complex program and/or project management, including analysis, data management, planning, and evaluative assignments concerned with the administrative and operational aspects of organizations, programs, services and management; (2) Developed and presented recommendations and supporting data/information to senior leadership related to program/project direction and administration; (3) Analyzed, planned and evaluated administrative and operational activities of the organizations, programs, services and management; (4) Developed strategic plans to implement a long-range forest management program of work; (5) Collaborated with partners such as federal agencies, congressional representatives/staff, local, county, and State officials, civic groups, and/or members of the general public to develop projects/programs and carry out the mission of the organization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
