Description
To be the focal point for performing project management tasks across business units (including establishing the goals and developing the projects to support the programs) related to identified programs and is accountable for executing the program, delivering the results and leading implementation teams (as necessary) to achieve agreed upon targets and target dates with required functionality. Responsibilities include the overall success of the program including the establishing of metrics/targets, monitoring progress and reporting status.
Job Duties
Develop programs and communicate high-level strategies/policies to appropriate enterprise personnel.
Where appropriate, gathers voice of the business and process partners and translates into requirements to define the scope of the program, establish metrics and targets. Strategy planning initiatives to support people, process & system transformation. Tracks and provides scorecards related to the program metrics. Provides guidance and prioritization to program teams as needed. Works with program and project teams to provide change management recommendations (communication, learning, and reinforcement plans) to accurately manage expectations of stakeholders throughout development and implementation. When appropriate, individual may sponsor or lead (as a BB alumni) projects.
This position acts as an advisor or consultant to senior management. The incumbent may serve as a company-wide resource on a highly specialized area or serve multiple units in a broader functional area and assist senior management in interpreting and using information provided.
Typical internal customers include the employees in one Division. External contacts include various customers and vendors throughout worldwide markets. The position is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review many possible solutions before selecting one option. Problems may be complex and can require the incumbent to develop solutions. The incumbent is free to determine the best way to complete job assignments to achieve desired results. Work is reviewed after completion, except in the most complex or high impact situations. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, etc. The position works to develop innovative processes or methods to best use resources or technology in meeting the quality goals.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
8-10 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
Caterpillar requires the position to have the following license or certification: Black Belt Alumni, Change Management, SAFE Agile methodology, and Project Management.
Top Candidates will also have
The position requires thorough knowledge of company products, product applications or merchandising programs.
An understanding of mechanized claims processing, service data systems and/or dealer operations may be required.
Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position may require up to 15% travel.
