The Small Business Operations Business Transformation Office is seeking a seasoned and disciplined Project/Program Manager to lead strategic growth, integration, process improvement, and controls related initiatives. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for directing and managing large, complex programs and projects that touch multiple products, processes, systems, and teams across the company. You will lead the day-to-day execution and own associated results. Our initiatives are transformational in nature, highly visible and require a level of discipline that comes from experience managing large scale, multi-faceted efforts. The incumbent must have significant schedule flexibility to accommodate domestic and international time zones due to the nature of our global business. Job responsibilities
  • Ideate, strategize and work with payments leadership, product domains and stakeholders to frame concepts, vet impacts and often illustrate the approach and framework for emerging transformation initiatives (you are part of the development AND solution)
  • Define project and program scope/charter including roadmaps, phase considerations, Key Performance Indicators and resources needed.
  • Define the execution model; ensure an appropriate balance between program structure and the ability to move quickly and iteratively, while delivering with quality; think hybrid
  • Act as an owner and operator for the overall program; work closely with initiative sponsors and execution resources; manage and track risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as appropriate
  • Create and maintain an overall project plan (where necessary) that is inclusive of major business and technical deliverables; manage work streams for product development, commercialization, operations, testing, etc.; Track progress against milestones and the achievement of business goals; deliver weekly and monthly executive reporting on Red/Amber/Green (RAG) status; predict the needs of your stakeholders and customize appropriately
  • Effectively and succinctly articulate risks, issues, etc. and recommend thoughtful solutions; Inspire execution excellence through personal excellence
  • Lead by example and help build a culture of collaboration, innovation, urgency, and accountability; Ensure applicable controls uplift objectives are achieved while implementing

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 7+ years of experience in combined IT, Project, Product or Program management; consulting and controls experience highly desirable; Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Payments industry, products, and services; diverse background in large scale transformational financial service sectors may serve in lieu; Ability to accommodate flexible scheduling that comes with supporting global efforts
  • High emotional quotient (EQ), polished, influential, and committed to a continuous learning and improvement mindset; Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously; Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proven leadership skills in developing and building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across lines of business to achieve objectives: Demonstrated and recent experience utilizing data to guide business results and inform effective decision making; Proven progressive leadership, management, execution, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Be comfortable working in a start-up culture; Stay current on industry and competitor trends and work with various teams to continue to improve the overall client delivery; Be a strategic thinker who supports the goals, the direction of the Small Business agenda, and proven ability to execute a change agenda
  • Be a strong self-motivator who can proactively engage with a virtual, cross-organizational team and demonstrate critical thinking without formal direction; Possess senior level interpersonal skills such as influence management, negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Work with Product Managers to understand end-to-end customer journeys in order to direct decisions on designing and executing the small business strategic vision; Have strong oral and written presentation skills; Committed to contributing to a winning culture by collaborating, sharing best practice, elevating our people and our process and strengthening relationships; Advanced presentation development and delivery skills
