Job Description
Founded in 1956 by the National Council of Jewish Women, Prospect House is MHA's adult day treatment/ partial care program servicing adults 18 and over who have been diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.
Prospect House helps individuals successfully manage their illness and significantly lower their risk for re-hospitalization through a highly regarded, psycho-social rehabilitation program. Individuals are offered psychoeducational and social support groups, individual case management, and medication monitoring based on their current needs and preferences.
Program Director Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a human service field
- Five (5) years of experience in mental health services
- Must have either a) two (2) years of supervisory experience or b) a professional credential, such as: LCSW, LPC, LAC, LRC, LCADC, APN or MSN with requisite experience.
Responsibilities of the Program Director Include:
- Overall operation, development and management of the Prospect House Partial Care Program.
- Oversight of the daily operation of Prospect Primary Healthcare.
- Crisis consultation and management and coordination with outside practitioners/agencies/hospitals
- Assuring all Prospect House services meet requirements and contractual obligations of funding sources, e.g. Medicaid, Medicare, NJDMHAS, HMO’s, etc.
- Develops, implements and monitors Prospect House budget in conjunction with MHA Chief Executive Officer. Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
- Accountable for meeting revenue goals and projections for Prospect House.
- Markets Prospect House program to treatment community to increase referrals.
- Develops and oversees all treatment to comply with partial care standards, OOL, CARF and agency policy (e.g. psychiatric services, medication services, etc.)
- Develops and oversees all program administrative functions including supervision of Administrative Coordinator.
- Develops and implements new programs/services, as dictated by client and funding source needs.
- Responsible for financial development and grant writing.
- Oversee program Quality Assurance monitor utilization, quality of services and effectiveness outcomes.
- Oversee and monitor billing procedures for Medicaid, Medicare and all other insurance providers as well as maintaining an acute awareness of payment status of claims.
- Assure adherence to MHAEM personnel policies and procedures and develop program specific policies when needed.
- Develop and oversee staff credentialing and adhere to prescribed clinical standards.
- Complete regular record review to ensure documentation compliance.
- Ensures all licensures and accreditation obligations are maintained for OOL and CARF.
- Ensures that all licenses and registrations are maintained with local and municipal regulatory bodies regarding the operation of a partial care day program.
- Meets all expected productivity levels, in regards to the direct service provision in the program.
