JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Primary duties are organizing, coordinating, and planning operational facets of a program and its related activities which include, but are not limited to the following: establishing long-term operational objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program, and working with individuals or groups to research and document program requirements in order to provide appropriate input into the development of strategic plans.
- Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.
- Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications.
- Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program.
- Assists in developing and coordinating program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings.
- Monitors expenditures and may participate in the budget planning process and prepare financial reports.
- May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives.
- Prepares operational and statistical reports.
- Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups.
- May supervise assigned project staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
- This is not an administrative support position.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
- Facilitates the recruitment process for new students by proactively promoting courses and programs, presenting information over the phone, in person, in presentations, and by email.
- Nurtures leads by providing potential students with relevant information and helping them with anything they need to feel supported as they travel through the steps of enrollment and certificate completion.
- Establishes and maintains personal relationships with students to keep them engaged and motivated to continue their learning journey.
- Proactively maintains communication with students throughout certificate programs utilizing Salesforce, resolving any issues that arise.
- Tracks student progress through certificate programs and provides support accordingly.
- Establishes productive working relationship with instructors.
- Develops recruitment and retention plans for student management as well as community and campus outreach strategies for assigned certificate programs.
- Establishes relationships with professional organizations pertinent to assigned certificate programs.
- Plans and executes information sessions and/or webinars for assigned certificate programs.
- Works with Student Success Manager to suggest new programming opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to present effectively to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to plan and execute events such as information sessions and webinars for prospective students.
- Experience with Zoom Webinar or other online conference software preferred.
- Self-starter with ability to work well with minimum supervision; highly organized.
- Significant mastery of MS Office suite particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of and ability to quickly learn educational software to maximize efficient use and application.
- Experience with Salesforce and Destiny One software preferred.
- Ability to communicate policies and procedures to balance support of student needs and program requirements.
- Ability to work a varied schedule to accommodate the needs of the adult students and recruitment of new students.
- Note that this will include periodic evenings and weekends.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.
