This position is primarily responsible for the assembly and testing of Printed Circuit Boards including minor troubleshooting and repair. This position may also be required to operate the potting machine. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
**2nd and 3rd shifts offer an additional $1/hr shift differential.

Responsibilities- Salary $20.66/hr
- Assemble and test moderately complex circuit boards and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Install wires, leads and a variety of thru-hole components. Solder components and leads
- May be required to pick parts from the warehouse
- Troubleshoot minor assembly problems
- Perform visual inspection, minor repairs and rework
- Perform basic calibration using existing test setups or procedures. Use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments
- Set up automated assembly machines, making necessary machine adjustments for start up and operation
- Transfer finished boards and sub-assemblies to appropriate work area
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to identify various electronic components
- Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
- Ability to understand standard units of measure and set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
- Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP
- Ability to infrequently stand in a stationary position and lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
- Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time and regularly perform work that requires magnification
- Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts
- Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months manufacturing or other related experience
Experience Preferred:
- Past soldering experience
