The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring daily shift operation needs are met. Tasks include, but not limited to, making scheduling decisions, coaching and training operators, troubleshooting machine issues and processing shift reports. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Consistently foster and display a safety mindset amount all shift employees by enforcing safety policy, stopping unsafe actions, and resolving unsafe conditions
• Closely monitor product quality to ensure customers receive first-quality products
• Operate and/or set up production lines when needed
• Coordinate resolution of production line reliability and process problems
• Support operators as needed to ensure maximum factory productivity and efficiency
• Coordinate shift workers including job assignments, time & attendance issues, and reassignments resulting from equipment problems or changing production priorities
• Coordinate training and development of crew
• Proactive approach in keeping employees engaged
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures on your shift, including safety policy, work instructions, procedures, company policy, and work rules
• Must be able to provide solid documentation and maintain records
• Consistently have one on one sessions with crew members to build trust, create an open dialogue and provide accurate and detailed performance feedback
• Work directly with Production Manager to resolve operator performance improvement opportunities
• Perform all job responsibilities safely, legally, professionally, accurately, efficiently, honestly, and ethically
• Work on rotating 8 hour shift pattern
• Obtain CPR/AED, First aid, and forklift certification
• Actively participate in off shift meetings, training sessions and leadership sessions
• Actively participate in the factory safety team
