Essential Functions:
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Monitors the scheduler, overtime and downtime.
- Leadership - Provides strong leadership and creates a positive workplace for direct reports and all associates, focusing on engagement, service, quality, safety and profit. An ambassador for promoting our J&B core values. Actions include goal setting and associate development/training; planning, assigning, and directing work, writing and conducting performance evaluations and disciplinary actions, and participating in employment decisions.
- Compliance -Comply with all safety, ergonomic, HACCP, and plant policy programs. Complies with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and the Food Safety and Quality Food Programs (SQF). Ensures all associates are kept informed and up-to-date on changes to relevant legislation and scientific and technical developments. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Productivity and Processing- Costing and yield management. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Achieve productivity including yields, labor and volume, while ensuring product specifications are met. Responsible for KPI measurements.
- Communication - Effectively communicate and work with other areas of the company. This includes internal and external areas such as sales, transportation, maintenance, quality control, warehouse and sanitation. Work closely with all other supporting departments to ensure the highest quality and efficiencies are being achieved. Communicate in a timely manner any and all situations that may adversely impact the quality and efficiencies tied to product, operations and the business.
- Education and Training - Maintain continuous professional development (training) with focus on technology, supervision and any subject related to this field. Attend company training as needed for personal development
- Other duties as assigned: Performs assignments and/or duties as directed by Director of Production
Physical and Environmental Factors:
- Includes activities such as but not limited to walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting and turning
- Requires ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
- Requires ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus breaks/rest periods)
- Subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly
- Subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels
