About this Position:
The Sr. Product Planner (Caribbean & Central America (CCA) represents the voice of the customers and distributors in the CCA sales region and acts as the lead CCA Sales Project Leader proposing the required features and specifications to the North American, Japan, and Asian (Thailand/Indonesia) based SED development teams for Honda and Acura vehicles sold in the CCA (and SA) region. The Sales Project Leader purpose is to understand the CCA market information from all 24 CCA countries for right-hand drive and left-hand drive configurations in order to lead and propose product development direction and product launch strategies in order to create attractive and competitive products to maximize CCA sale volume, increase CCA market share, and improve over CCA profitability.
Responsibilities include:
- Gain consensus and approval for all product development feature and specification requests in time to meet SED milestone dates for all assigned Honda & Acura product lines & emission types (KK, KK-CR, KU, KT, etc.), correlating with South America Regional PP for shared models.
- Coordinate and communicate all SED approved CCA product information (timing, change points, volume, etc.) to support CCA launch activities per schedule.
- Export Sales department projects (10-year forecast/BIM & business plan) & Ad Hoc items (MTOIC reduction effort for CCA).
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- 8-10+ years of experience with an auto manufacturer; preferably experience in the area of Product Planning or Market Research
- Experience leading or supervising a team is a plus
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing International Business, or equivalent work experience. MBA is a plus
Desired skills:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Excellent planning, negotiating, analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to understand automotive development disciplines (R&D and Manufacturing) and automotive technologies
- Knowledge of Central America and Caribbean automobile landscape
- Multi-lingual English/Japanese/Spanish is a plus
- Basic understanding of Honda acronyms is a plus

Total Rewards:
- Competitive Base Salary: $77,800 to $116,700
Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
