Product Delivery Intern

Internships with Allianz Partners consist of a ten-week program focused on giving students the opportunity to gain business knowledge and experience. The program generally follows a project-management methodology that allows each intern to manage a project within a specific department. In addition, interns participate in lunch-and-learn, networking and mentoring opportunities.

The program begins Monday, June 5, 2023, and ends Friday, August 11, 2023. The work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

US Product Delivery

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Create formalized technical documentation for database designs and APIs
• Document user guides and SOPs for any functionality for completed development
• Conduct technical research on specifications for infrastructure and various technology methodologies
• Partner with Solution Engineers on unit testing, creation of test plans, and various testing activities
• Complete light coding projects as applicable and familiarity increases
• Create project and requirements documentation in consumable and iterative units
• Partner with department stakeholders routinely to ensure project deliverable alignment.
• Support Program Management on the critical filing projects by attending meetings, document key takeaways, actions, and follow up with stakeholders on deliverables.
• Conduct special projects as directed by leadership.
• Act as liaison with other Allianz Global US departments and divisions.
• Identify and recommend changes to ineffective/inefficient processes.
• Identify low-value work and eliminate to achieve department objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Must be a college junior or senior, pursuing a degree. The preferred major(s) for this position:
• Information Technology course students & Computer Science course students
• Ability to quickly learn various website, research tools, and internal tools.
• Ability to build a trusting rapport and relationship with internal and external customers.
• Flexibility: ability to adapt to on-going change and work in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment.
• Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to meet and/or exceed expectations.
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts and reporting procedures
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed with team and other departments.
• Ability to apply feedback, take initiative and be accountable for work produced.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• PC Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Coding Skills: Familiarity with HTML/CSS and ReactJS
