WHO YOU ARE

Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive product innovation? We're seeking a Product Data Analyst who will be pivotal in enhancing our product team's capabilities through analytics, data science, and machine learning. You should be adept at collecting, organizing, and extracting insights from vast datasets to empower our teams with actionable intelligence. Your role will be critical in steering product strategy by identifying trends, predicting user behavior, and pinpointing opportunities through advanced analytics.
Responsibilities
    • Advanced Analytics: Utilize advanced analytics to drive product decisions, including segmentation, retention analysis, churn prediction, cohort analysis, conversion prediction, and forecasting.
    • Insightful Reporting: Create and present comprehensive reports to the team or leadership, highlighting key insights from complex datasets using data visualization techniques.
    • Data Stewardship: Serve as the data expert for Product Data, ensuring data quality and accessibility for cross-functional teams.
    • Modeling: Employ statistical and machine learning models to predict customer behavior, product trends, and engagement. Develop algorithms to personalize user experiences and drive product engagement.
    • AI Implementation: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement AI/ML models into production, monitoring their performance and continuously improving their accuracy.
    • A/B Testing: Design, execute, and interpret A/B tests for new product features, using statistical rigor to validate results.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Analytics and Product-Outcomes teams to support data-driven decision-making across the company.
    • Tools and Platforms. Customer Data Platform (CDP): Segment or equivalent tools for building user cohorts and facilitating targeted marketing campaigns.
    • Product Analytics Platforms: Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tools for in-depth product usage analysis.
    • Data Management: Proficiency in scripting with Python and SQL, and experience with data platforms like Google Analytics, advertising platforms, and external APIs.
    • ETL and Data Pipelining: Experience with data collection, aggregation, and ETL processes, using AWS cloud tools and other relevant technologies.
    • Visualization and BI Tools: Ability to translate complex data into understandable visualizations using tools like Amplitude or BI platforms (e.g., DOMO, Tableau).
Qualifications and Skills
    • Experience: At least 3 years in a data analytics/data science role with a focus on product analytics. A proven track record of applying advanced analytics to solve business problems.
    • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python for data science, with experience in libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Solid understanding of SQL and database management. Use of BI tools such as Amplitude or Domo.
    • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct complex data analysis with a deep understanding of statistical testing and modeling techniques.
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into strategic insights for non-technical stakeholders.
$80,000 - $100,000 a year
In addition to the expected range listed, this role will be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and location.
