Form of workDaystar Television Network is looking for an experienced Producer to work at their Headquarters in Bedford, Texas.
We are looking for someone who can bring the voice of the people to the television screen. The Producer is tasked with developing content that educates and motivates our viewers to action. While leading a team through the production process of multiple projects, this producer must grasp the big picture and manage all facets of each project, to achieve an excellent final special that is compelling and insightful. Must be a Christian who is personally committed, to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and organizing highly creative projects
- Motivating my team to deliver excellence
- Spearheading a project from beginning to end
- Shouldering responsibility and being a team player
- Working in a fast-paced, highly energetic environment
- Take the lead in researching and developing ideas for specials, that captures the interest of the Daystar audience
- Use creativity and writing skills to outline and create a game plan, for accomplishing my projects
- Work alongside production and marketing staff, to deliver content that fulfills the needs of heart for the world
- Contribute in writing copy, drafting emails, and making phone calls, as they pertain to multiple projects
- Must be flexible and adaptable in both my workflow and schedule
- Coordinate shoot schedules, props, equipment, or personnel needed, to complete a production
- Supervise off-site shoots and live projects throughout the year, both domestic and abroad
- Aid in multiple live or live to tape productions when needed, and be a fully utilized member of the production team
Qualifications
- Natural leader, comfortable with taking on responsibilities
- An effective and efficient communicator, with the ability to use multiple means of communication to engage all team members.
- Highly organized and can handle planning and motivating a team
- Thoroughly knowledgeable in the television production process
- An efficient time manager and able to consistently meet deadlines
- A highly effective delegator with the ability to support and trust in my team's creative capabilities
- Highly skilled at following up, attention to detail, and providing my team with the tools they need, so that the team can achieve Team Goals
- Proficient in basic editing skills utilizing final cut and/or adobe premiere
- Dedicated to communicating relevant stories with excellence, that capture the audience’s attention
- A dedicated follower of Jesus Christ who wants to join a ministry with a heart for the world
Education
- A minimum of three years experience in television broadcast
- A degree in television broadcasting or related field (preferred)
- Exemplary related skills (i.e., writing, video/audio editing, camera operation, etc.). Note: these skills are a preferred bonus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit (potentially excessive walking) at workstation for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work shifts assigned.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must be able to work extended hours during special events (required).
