CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Independently coordinates and manages project material management requirements, purchases materials, equipment services and labor at competitive prices and terms as required by project.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple or technical correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Proficient in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

Working knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS).

Processes and understands material lists and bills of material for complicated engineering projects based on available data from engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, data sheets or verbal information using established processes.

Understanding of Terms and Conditions and Subcontract terminology.

Strong math, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for the success of procurement specialists.

Organization skills and attention to detail.

Detail-oriented team players, possessing negotiation skills and the ability to work independently as needed. An understanding of business operations and processes is important.

Strong interpersonal skills, as they work with a diverse number of people, such as executives, suppliers, vendors, and supply chain managers. Along with these crucial skills: Assess costs and negotiate vendor and supply prices, Analyze business supply needs and ensure businesses are getting the best possible material, Manage inventory and order supplies and materials as needed, and Resolve pricing conflicts and place bids with different vendors as required.

Work is substantially complex and varied, and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures in combination.

Errors in work could lead to significant expense and inconvenience.

Seven years of project execution experience or related field with a minimum of five years in materials management.

Strong listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent knowledge of good procurement practice including negotiation, demand management, supplier qualification, sourcing, bidding and contracting, supplier performance management and risk management.

Procurement Certification preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
