In this role you will support the Aviation Maintenance crafts via the distribution warehouse by providing logistical support and procurement services for all aviation customers.
- You will support technicians who provide Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) of airport.
- You will maintain MRO inventory stock items, buy supplies, and other essential materials and services; issue parts and maintenance materials, and fill orders for the departments and technicians using Maximo and service-related records.
- You will purchase material, services, and items using a Purchasing Card, Blanket Vendor Contracts, and Requisitions through the Port's Central Procurement Office.
- You will receive and validate supplies as they are received, as well as load/unload incoming and outgoing shipments using a forklift.
- You will locate sources of supplies and order items from vendors to fill rush orders or meet emergencies, and communicate with multiple vendors to purchase goods andservices using Port of Seattle procurement contracts and procedures.
- You will process vendor invoices and prepare contract payment requests on open purchase orders via Maximo and PeopleSoft.
- You will report to the Distribution Center Lead, Procurement and Inventory Supervisor and the Assistant Manager of the Distribution Center.
- You may be directed to report to the maintenance Craft Foremen to meet operational requirements.
Two years of experience may be substituted for one year of education:
- Experienced - You have one (1) or more years of warehouse experience, including areas such as inventory management and purchasing. Additionally, you are able to lift up to 50 pounds and have the ability to become certified on a forklift within the probationary period.
- Educated - You possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Desired - We hope that you have more than two (2) years of distribution level warehouse experience, or equivalent, and have completed coursework related to general business administration. Additionally, we hope you have a working knowledge of Maximo, or other computerized maintenance management system, and have experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP or Concur, and possess a current or expired Forklift Certification (sit down and stand up).

You are proficient in general office functions such as filing, records keeping, copying, and faxing. You must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
