Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting with lab production, which includes but is not limited to distillation, extraction, winterization and production of cannabis infused products. The Processing Lab Technician should be familiar with standard laboratory practices and has previously worked in production laboratory environments.
Requirements
- The Laboratory Technician will assist the Director of Processing by carrying out day-to-day tasks
- Responsible for the proper handling and care of CO2 Extraction Systems
- Maintain proper handling of refinement equipment; this can range from vacuum pumps, glassware, rotary evaporators, chillers, and hot plates. This task includes but is not limited to: Prepping chemicals, preventative maintenance, Calibration, Tracking, Documenting, Packaging, Labeling, and Cleaning
- Ensures 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking and security throughout all processes
- Maintain product stability during extraction and refinement
- Responsible for ensuring each product is properly labeled in compliance with the Mississippi Regulations
- Ensure that proper protective equipment is being used
- Has understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety procedures to ensure the highest level of safety
- Responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through ownership, teamwork, communication and collaboration
- Performs all other assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe production facility
Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal interpersonal communication skills/team player
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Have an understanding of weights and measurements
- Must be comfortable working in fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have valid MS cannabis work permit
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Some Cannabis Knowledge Preferable

- Appropriate grooming for work environment (no jewelry, hair must be tied back, no hair outside of PPE)
