Process Project Engineer

We have an opportunity at our Martinez Refinery in California and are seeking a talented Process Project Engineer to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy.
Process Project Engineers liaise with multiple disciplines to evaluate complex refinery problems and opportunities. Post evaluation they provide solutions to those problems, including operational and optimization suggestions as well as capital solutions. They provide input and leadership for Front End Project Developments as well as justification for execution of capital projects
Job Responsibilities May Include:
- Individually or in concert with other disciplines use technical knowledge to evaluate problems and opportunities to:
- Identify root causes, safety, and environmental concerns.
- Develop and justify capital and operational recommendations
- Assist and Lead in causal analysis efforts
- Relieve unit constraints, improve reliability, minimize operating expenses, and improve profitability
- Provide startup support for new capital installations as well as turnaround support when necessary
- Mentor less experienced process engineers in unit operations and solution development
- Support the change management process through evaluation of operational and equipment modifications
- Manage, Maintain, Develop and Archive refinery process models

Minimum Qualifications:
- STEM degree
- 4+ years professional related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering
- 15 years of refinery experience with 5 years in project development
- Experience in Process Modeling using HYSYS, Pro2, Promax and HTRI

The salary range for this position is $97,332.86 - $164,308.72. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate's compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases.
